Fast Patrol Vessel is designed with mono hull, raked stem, chine bilge, transom stern and built as a medium range weapon fitted and with water jet propulsion system driven by diesel engines.

Primary role of Vessel is as follows:

• Fisheries protection and Monitoring
• Patrol within Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) and Coastal patrol.
• Anti smuggling
• Search and rescue operation
• Anti-Piracy

Secondary Function

Secondary role of Vessels is to provide communication link & escort coastal convoys during hostilities and wartime.
