The vessel is designed to carry out maritime law enforcement patrols to deter, detect and interdict IUU Fishing, transnational crimes (e.g., Smuggling of migrants, drugs, arms, and ammunition etc.), Maritime Search and Rescue (SAR), Disaster Response (DR) & Recovery, and replenishment at sea (RAS).
