Steel Cutting Ceremony of ASWSWC project for Indian Navy

SEDS is the design partner for the 8nos of ASW SWC going to be built at Cochin Shipyard with mono hull, fitted with water jet propulsion system driven by diesel engines

Primary Functions

The vessel is tasked for Anti-Submarine Warfare in Indian coastal waters which would include:

• ASW operations in coastal waters.
• Low Intensity Maritime operations (LIMO).
• Mine Laying operations

Commencement of steel cutting for ASWSWC vessels at CSL was declared through VC by Vice Admiral G Ashok Kumar, PVSM, AVSM, VSM,Vice Chief of Naval Staff, Indian Navy in the presence of CMD, CSL. Vice Admiral S R Sarma, Chief of Materiel & other senior officials were also present.
