Leg 3 team of Atma Nirbhar Yatra of ND(V) reached Kochi on 12 Apr 21. At Kochi, the team interacted with personnel of Naval Physical and Oceanographic Laboratory (NPOL), Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) and Smart Engineering and Design Solutions (SEDS). The visited organisations shared their vast experiences in attaining self reliance in their respective fields. The Navy team aimed at tapping the resources of these industries to promote Atmanirbharta whilst partnering ND(V) for refits during the interaction. The team also interacted with NSRY Kochi personnel for exchange of ideas during the stay. From Kochi the team was flagged off from NSRY Kochi for their onward journey to Coimbatore by R ADM Antony George NM, VSM Chief of Staff Southern Naval Command on 14 Apr 21.
The expedition plans to cover a total distance of about 5,000 km across south India in over 20 days.
